    Thetahealing

The ThetaHealing technique is a meditation technique and spiritual philosophy - not specific to one religion but accepting them all - with the purpose of getting closer to the Creator. It is a training method for your mind, body and spirit that allows you to clear limiting beliefs and live life with positive thoughts, developing virtues in all that we do. Through meditation and prayer, the ThetaHealing Technique creates a positive lifestyle.

ThetaHealing™ is a tremendously powerful method that can be practiced in person or over the phone. The practitioner is able to use and send Higher Power healing energy to you by putting themselves in a meditative state (Theta Brain Wave). The practitioner can intuitively scan your body to find energy blocks, developed by accumulated emotions. We can help you to release these blockages. Muscle testing can also be used to unlock your negative core beliefs in the unconscious mind and discover what’s holding you back. The power of Theta means even the strongest beliefs can be released with ease and grace. Patterns that might have served you in the past may be preventing you from moving forward today. ThetaHealing™ will help you to release old negative patterns.

    Somatic Therapy

Somatic therapy is a holistic approach to healing that focuses on the mind-body connection and the ways in which emotional experiences are stored in the body. Through the use of movement, sound, and breathing techniques, somatic therapy aims to release physical tension, trauma, and stress held in the body, allowing individuals to process and integrate their emotions on a deeper level.

    Benefits of somatic therapy include:

    1. Increased self-awareness:By tuning into bodily sensations and movements, individuals can gain a better understanding of their emotions and triggers.
    2. Emotional regulation: Somatic therapy helps individuals learn how to regulate their emotions and responses through mindful movement and breathwork.
    3. Trauma healing: Somatic therapy can be effective in processing and releasing trauma stored in the body, leading to healing and resolution.
    4. Improved physical well-being: By addressing physical tension and stress, somatic therapy can help alleviate chronic pain, improve posture, and enhance overall physical health.
    5. Enhanced mind-body connection: Somatic therapy fosters a deeper connection between the mind and body, promoting a sense of wholeness and integration.

How somatic therapy helps live a more fulfilling life:

    • By addressing and releasing stored emotions and trauma in the body, somatic therapy can help individuals experience greater emotional freedom, resilience, and well-being.
    • Through the practice of mindful movement, sound, and breathing, individuals can cultivate a sense of presence, grounding, and inner peace, leading to a more balanced and harmonious life.
    • Somatic therapy empowers individuals to connect with their inner wisdom, intuition, and authentic self, allowing them to live with greater purpose, clarity, and fulfillment.

Overall, somatic therapy offers a holistic approach to healing and personal growth, supporting individuals in living a more fulfilling and meaningful life by integrating mind, body, and spirit in a harmonious way.

Somatic therapy, with its roots in both ancient healing practices and modern psychology, has evolved over time to become a recognized approach in the field of psychotherapy. The term "somatic" comes from the Greek word "soma," meaning the living body, and the therapy is grounded in the understanding that the mind and body are interconnected and that physical experiences can affect mental and emotional well-being.

    Historical Foundations of Somatic Practices

The foundation of somatic therapy can be traced back to the early 20th century with the work of Wilhelm Reich, a student of Sigmund Freud. Reich was among the first to suggest that emotional traumas could manifest as physical tensions, what he called "character armor," and that releasing these physical blockages could lead to emotional healing. This idea was revolutionary at the time and laid the groundwork for what would become somatic therapy.

In the latter half of the 20th century, pioneers like Alexander Lowen, who developed Bioenergetic Analysis, and Peter Levine, who created Somatic Experiencing, further expanded the field. They introduced methods that emphasized the importance of bodily sensations and movements in processing emotional experiences and traumas.

    The Science Behind Somatic Therapy

Research on somatic therapy has been growing, supporting its effectiveness in treating a range of issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders. For example:

    • Somatic Experiencing:Peter Levine's Somatic Experiencing has been the subject of various studies. A study published in the "Journal of Traumatic Stress" in 2007 found that Somatic Experiencing significantly reduced symptoms of PTSD in a group of survivors of natural disasters, accidents, and assault-related traumas.
    • Body-Mind Psychotherapy: A 2014 study in the "Journal of Body, Movement and Dance in Psychotherapy" explored the effects of Body-Mind Psychotherapy on individuals with depression and anxiety, showing significant improvements in symptoms and overall well-being.
    • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR): While not exclusively a somatic therapy, MBSR incorporates body awareness as a key component and has been widely studied. Research has consistently shown its effectiveness in reducing stress, anxiety, and symptoms of chronic pain.

These studies, among others, contribute to a growing body of evidence supporting the effectiveness of somatic therapy. By focusing on the body's role in psychological health, somatic therapy offers a valuable and effective approach to healing and well-being.

It's important to note that while research in this area is promising, the field continues to evolve, and more studies are needed to fully understand the mechanisms and long-term benefits of somatic therapy for various conditions.
